Dr. Prince Nii Darku Abbey is a scholar-practitioner at the intersection of economic governance, business strategy, and market research. As Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Policy & Market Research (JPMR), he leads a bold initiative to democratize access to high-quality, actionable business intelligence for companies of all sizes—especially small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) navigating complex market dynamics.

With a PhD in Industrial Economics from the University of Bath and over 15 years of experience in financial services, business incubation, and policy research across Africa, Europe, and North America, Dr. Abbey brings a unique blend of academic rigor and strategic insight to JPMR. His career includes leadership roles at Databank Investment Banking Group, CDH Financial Holdings, and Pesewa ONE PLC, where he helped over 100 startups scale sustainably and supported Ghana’s first startup listing on the Ghana Stock Exchange.

At JPMR, Dr. Abbey champions a collaborative, industry-led approach to business research, enabling companies to engage in tailored studies that explore practical challenges in business policy, regulatory change, consumer behavior, and market competitiveness. His expertise in social capital, economic strategy, and data analytics ensures that JPMR’s research outputs are not only credible and policy-relevant but also designed for immediate strategic application by businesses.
